Easy Season in St. Augustine, FL

September is the perfect time of year for taking life easy and relaxing along Florida’s most Historic Coast. Now this, is easy season, smaller crowds, cooler weather and deals that are burning hot. One of my favorite things about easy season is the free Sing Out Loud Music Festival from September 6-29th. This allows the initial sting we all feel from summer ending hit not so hard… Hundreds of performances will be taking place throughout the greater St. Augustine area every weekend in September. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of an epic celebration supporting local, regional and national singers, songwriters and musicians? Can’t you hear Eagles – Take it Easy playing in your head right now? I know I can, now let me get my beach chair ready!!
Now Lets Dive in…..
St. Augustine Florida is known for many things but being deemed Florida’s most historic coast has got to be the best one yet, I mean c’mon who wouldn’t want to visit the Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth. Hey, if it makes me appear younger sign me up!!! On a more serious note, being the first city in America means it is the oldest city in the United States, founded by the Spanish in September 1565. This is where St. Augustine gets its Spanish colonial architecture – you must explore historic sites like Fort Matanzas and Castillo de San Marcos. It is a must see! Then you should dine al fresco at one of the many local favorite restaurants offered in town while sipping on that cool craft cocktail or maybe you opt for water with lemon your choice! Begin to soak in the stunning views from ocean front bars, patios and restaurants to clear your stress, worries and anxieties and take in the natural beauty of St. Augustine, Florida.
Truthfully, I admit, cooler weather and smaller crowds make this a great time for visitors to extend their summer and enjoy some new experiences. Some of my family’s favorites include a trip to the alligator farm, learning to surf or fly-fish, adventures like swimming with dolphins or even your occasional zip-lining over crocodiles (I know, I know, where do they get it from?) There are dozens of special events taking place during easy season, you can even play golf at one of more than 12 championship courses including the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra.
The point is, there are a variety of unique, authentic experiences visitors & guests can enjoy here in St. Augustine. From long weekends to mid-week trips St. Augustine will not only be the place for you but a place for your entire family to enjoy. This was very important to me while selecting this location for my own family’s beach house. With five kids and a growing family we needed to make sure streets were safe, the area offered plenty of entertainment including restaurants and activities for all to enjoy and the fact that we can still have the cozy beach house experience that we all know and love. I can happily say this has become one of our favorite most relaxing beach destinations to date! Don’t believe me? Experience it for yourself at Florida Beach Getaways.Com and book direct, we would love to have you and your family as our guest! #Beachhappy #Stayawhile
